Mission Statement
AdultsOnly is an expanding guild designed to progress through the all PvE content in the World of Warcraft with the goal of becoming a regular raiding guild. Not every member will want to be a raider and that is just fine. Keep in mind, though, that regularly scheduled raiding will a component of AdultsOnly.
We want your experience in AdultOnly to be fun, friendly and drama-free. But at the same time, understand that there does need to be some structure in place for the benefit of all.
Code of Conduct
We expect all members to use common sense. Anything going against Blizzard's ToS is stictly forbidden. Unsavory actions not specifically outlined in the ToS are also frowned upon. This includes, but it not limited to, begging for; gold, equipment, or enchants, spamming any chat channel, or being generally disrespectful to any WoW Player. We expect all guild members to behave as an ambassador to the AdultsOnly guild. The name should say it all.
When asking for help, try not to get angry if no one responds immediately. Often times other players are busy and may not be able to lend instant assistance. Members can also post on the forums if they need help with a specific quest line or instance. We want to help our guild members in every way we can, but it is ultimately up to each member to ensure their goals are met. This includes anything regarding in-game currency (gold), and items such as mounts.
We ask that all members police themselves. There will not be a detention or "time-out" rank. Players participating in inappropriate behavior will be confronted and warned not to do so again. Continual reprimands may result in the member being removed from the guild. There will be fewer warnings depending on the offense. Again, begging ANYONE is your quickest ticket out of the guild short of quitting.
Communication
Chat Channels
Public Channels
Comatose expects all players to be mindful of what they say in all chat channels. It is never OK to bad mouth another player, regardless of the channel. Players speaking in public chat channels (Trade, General) are ambassadors of the guild, and should carry themselves as such.
Guild Chat
When speaking in Guild chat be mindful of your guildmates. Please refrain from discussing controversial topics such as religion, politics, etc. If you wish to discuss these topics with another guild member please do so in wispers, a private chat channel, or outside of the game entirely.
Party/Raid Chat
When in a raid please keep raid chat relevant to the current task at hand. This is especially true for boss enounters. Information about upcoming and occuring boss abilities will be displayed in the raid channel and any misc. chatter will clog the chat window.
If you wish to talk to a certain player, it is advised to whisper them as you will likely get a quicker response.
When in doubt - don't say it.
More to come as we ramp up raid schedules
Website/Forums
The guild website will be a primary form of communication within the guild. As such, all members should familiarize themselves with the layout and content of the website. Players are encouraged to start and reply to threads in any relevant topic. The more players we have actively using the website, the better we will be.
Ventril (not available yet)
General
The Ventrilo server is provided for players to use while playing WoW. The server is available to all AdultsOnly members without restriction. We ask that players not give out the Ventrilo server information to players not in AdultsOnly. If players outside of the guild join a mostly-AdultsOnly event (5 man or raid), they are, of course, welcome on the server for the duration of the event. Please be mindful that there is a limit on how many players can be on the server at any given time, and log off of Ventrilo when you are not playing WoW.
Communication on the Ventrilo server falls under the same rules as communicating via in-game chat channels. Please remember to be mindful of others that are on the Ventrilo server.
Raid Schedule (to be determined)
Guild Bank
All items in the Guild Bank(GBank), including any gold, will be used to further progresssion for the entire guild. This could be for purchasing resistance items, enchanting materials, or gems from the Auction House. Certain types of items will be restricted to ensure that they are being used for the correct purpose. This will usually only be high quality items that are either typically used mainly in raids, or are very hard to come by. Members are not required to donate to the GBank, but are always encouraged to. Donations to the guild bank should be treated as a donation to furthering the guild's progression. Items or gold donated to the GBank may not be able to be returned to the donator. If you are worried about not being able to use something, place it in your own bank or bag inventory.
Final Words
Any suggestions for refinement of this initial draft of guild procedures is most welcome!
